Ubisoft confirmed back at E3 in June that it’s working on a Star Trek VR game called Star Trek: Bridge Crew. It was explained as an interactive four-player experience that’s set in the JJ Abrams Star Trek universe. Players can choose to be either the captain, a member of the engineering or tactical teams or the helm officer on the Aegis starship. Ubisoft today confirmed when the game will be released for VR headsets.
Whatever their role, players are tasked with helping settle the remaining population of Vulcan after the planet gets destroyed in the first Star Trek reboot.
Star Trek: Bridge Crew aims at providing a great VR experience to players, they will be able to activate warp drive in VR, scan objects in space, and display important information on the game’s viewscreen. Missions that they will tackle will be randomly generated and those focused on the greater storyline.
When it confirmed this VR game back at E3 2016, Ubisoft didn’t confirm when it’s going to be released, and today it has finally confirmed that crucial bit of information. Best mark you calendars because Star Trek: Bridge Crew is going to be released for PlayStation VR, HTC Vive, and Oculus Rift on November 29th.
