Sony holds several press conferences a year, and given that they have so many different products under its brand, we guess it shouldn’t really come as a surprise. That being said, the next Sony press conference will be happening soon. The company has recently started to send out invites to IFA 2016.
According to the invite (see above), the event will be kicking off on the 1st of September at 1pm. While they were not specific about what products they will be launching, from what we can tell in the image, we’re probably looking at more details about the PlayStation VR, some audio products like headphones, maybe some TVs, some cameras, and maybe even a smartphone announcement or two.
Last we heard, Sony had a new Xperia handset in the works rumored to be the Sony Xperia XR, so it is possible that the handset could be announced then, but don’t take our word for it as it is just speculation for now. As for those wondering about the PS4 Neo, don’t get your hopes up for an IFA 2016 launch.
According to an earlier rumor, the PS4 Neo will be launched at its own event which will apparently be taking place on the 7th of September in New York. In any case do check back with us during IFA 2016 for all the details.
