As per our earlier report, Bethesda’s The Elder Scrolls VI will not be coming for a long time. This means that until then, gamers will have to make do with the upcoming remastered copy of Skyrim, which from what we can tell in the trailer video actually looks pretty good and almost looks like it could be a brand new game.
However if you are hoping for a brand new game, or at least hoping for new features and content to be added to the remastered copy of the game, you might be disappointed. In a post on Twitter, Bethesda’s VP of marketing Pete Hines answered a question by a gamer as to whether or not we can expect new features.
According to Hines’ reply, “Not that I’m aware of. Not changing features or content like that.” Is this surprising? We guess it makes sense since it is a remaster, not a remake. If Bethesda had promised a remake then obviously we would expect new features, but since it is a remaster, new graphics are pretty much all we can really expect.
Of course it would be nice if there were a couple of new features or improvements made here and there, but like we said, the trailer certainly makes the game look pretty good and we reckon most gamers should be pretty happy with it. The remastered copy of Skyrim has been set for a release this coming October.
