In the past the company has produced several Android-based clamshells before, and it looks like a new model could be in the works. Codenamed Veyron, the handset was spotted on GeekBench where some of its specs were revealed, where interestingly enough its specs look like it could be a high-end handset, except in a clamshell form factor.
According to the benchmarks, the handset was spotted with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset clocked at 1.59GHz. It also appears to come with 4GB of RAM, and will run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, which is disappointing as we would have hoped that Samsung would have preloaded it with Android 7.0 instead, especially since the update has already been released.
Word on what the phone looks like, but we doubt that it will look too different from the other clamshell phones Samsung has put out in the past. There’s also a good chance the phone could be exclusive to the Chinese market, so don’t get your hopes up for a US release just yet.
