Samsung has pushed out an update for its mobile payment service that’s going to further improve the experience for users. Samsung Pay now supports Samsung Rewards Card. Users will get many chances to earn this reward card by taking part in a variety of promotions. One such promotion is live right now, it effectively offers users free money for using Samsung Pay, money that they can spend anywhere they can pay with Samsung Pay, which is good because it happens to be the most widely accepted mobile payment service.
There’s a reason for that. Samsung Pay has support for both NFC and MST technologies which not only makes it compatible with NFC payment terminals but also with existing credit card machines. This means that merchants don’t have to spend huge amounts to acquire special terminals. They can accept Samsung Pay using their existing card machines.
The promotion that’s being offered right now provides customers with a $20 Rewards card which they will receive after making their first eligible payment via Samsung Pay in the United States. The card will be stored as a VISA card inside the user’s Samsung Pay account and they will be able to use its $20 to pay for stuff in any store they can pay in using Samsung Pay.
The latest update for Samsung Pay also enables the service to send users alerts about location-based offers from participating merchants.
