Samsung has started rolling out a new update that’s bringing Samsung Cloud to the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. Samsung Cloud is an extension of the company’s Smart Switch service which enables users to easily transfer data from one device to another. The new cloud storage offering makes it even easier by providing users with free cloud storage for their content, files, documents, and more.

Samsung Cloud was introduced at the company’s event earlier this month where it unveiled the Galaxy Note 7. It enables users to have the most recent copy of device data on the cloud so that they can easily access it or transfer it to another device if need be.

While it didn’t say anything about this during the event, it turns out that the company is making Samsung Cloud available to Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge as well. Like their Note 7 counterparts, Galaxy S7 users will also get 15GB of free storage on Samsung Cloud. This gives hope that the service could later be expanded to the Galaxy S6 series and the Galaxy Note 5 as well.

The update that Samsung has sent out weighs over 150MB and currently it has been released in Italy, but it will make its way to other markets across the globe in the near future. It also features the latest August security patch for the company’s 2016 flagship smartphones.
