Quantum Break is already available on PC but the game has been exclusive to Windows 10 and the Microsoft Windows Store ever since it was launched five months ago. That’s going to change soon. Today, details of the Quantum Break Steam release have been confirmed. The game’s price for PC has also been cut to match with the upcoming release on both retail and Steam. The price cut is only for PC and does not affect the $59.99 price tag for the Xbox One version.
Remedy Entertainment confirmed today that Quantum Break is being opened up to more gamers as it will be available on Steam next month. The digital download will include all of the latest updates. It will run on 64-bit versions of Windows 7 and up.
Quantum Break’s retail release is being taken care of by Nordic Games which also worked with Remedy for the retail release of Alan Wake back in 2012. The box will include a Steam key to authenticate the physical discs.
The retail Quantum Break: Timeless Collector’s Edition features premium packaging, 5 game discs, making of book and Blu-ray, 1 soundtrack CD, a quickstart guide, and 2 posters.
Microsoft is yet to clarify if the retail and digital download of Quantum Break via Steam will be available for Xbox Play Anywhere and if players will require a Steam account to play the retail version.
Quantum Break costs $39.99 in retail and on Steam, the price in the Windows Store has been cut to the same level as well. It will be released on September 14th. Quantum Break still costs $59.99 for the Xbox One.
