According to a recent tweet by Bethesda’s Pete Hines, he revealed that they were still evaluating mods support for the PS4. Hines wrote, “Until evaluation is done there is no way to give a date. We don’t have a date when eval will be done.” Unfortunately it is unclear as to what the hold-up might be.
We’re not sure if it could be a problem on Bethesda’s end, or if it could be a problem on Sony’s end, but either way there is going to be a delay and gamers will just have no choice but to wait. Interestingly enough this isn’t the first time Bethesda’s had a hard time getting some of their games onto the PlayStation platform.
Several years ago, the DLCs for Skyrim also ran into issues when they attempted to release it on the PlayStation 3, which has us thinking it could be the PlayStation platform that is giving Bethesda some trouble. In any case we guess we’ll just have to remain patient and hope that mod support will come sooner rather than later.
