If you’ve been following Pokemon Go news then you will be well aware that quite a lot of players will go to any lengths to catch the little monsters, often putting themselves and others at risk. Police in Canada have released video captured from their helicopter as it followed an erratic driver who was apparently playing Pokemon Go while driving late in the night.
The York Regional Police posted a video on YouTube showing a car driving erratically, the car was spotted by one of their helicopters as it was making what they believed to be “suspicious turns.” It also stopped by a park at around 3:23 am.
Police say that the driver was playing Pokemon Go and we can see that the car is being driven erratically, stopping in the street for no apparent reason as no one gets out and the cars goes on its way again.
A police car catches up with the driver and has a chat, the person wasn’t taken it but was given a “stern warning.”
“Since the launch of the Pokemon Go app, York Regional Police has received a number of calls from concerned citizens who have recently seen groups of people wandering and gathering in places across the region,” the video description reads.
This isn’t the first time someone has disregarded the rules of the road to catch as many Pokemon as they can, hopefully, players will be more sensible and have fun playing the game without putting people or themselves at risk.
