Polar M600 Android Wear Smartwatch Unveiled

Polar is a company that some of you guys might be familiar with. The company has long dabbled in fitness related wearables, such as the H7 chest strap heart rate monitor, although in more recent times the company has moved into wearables of their own that runs its own operating system.

However it looks like Polar could be moving towards Android Wear as they have announced the Polar M600, the company’s first wearable that is powered by Google’s Android Wear platform. This means that if you want the reputation of Polar but also access to the variety of apps designed for Android Wear, the M600 could be the best of both worlds.

The M600 will come with the usual fitness tracking features, such as a heart rate sensor that Polar has equipped with six LEDs instead of two, meaning that when it comes to reading your heart rate, it should prove to be more reliable and accurate. It will also sport a 1.3-inch TFT Gorilla Glass 3 display, GPS, GLONASS, and a 500mAh battery that will supposedly last a good two days before needing a recharge.

Its silicone strap can also be removed and washed, plus it can also be swapped out for different colors if you’re so inclined. The Polar M600 will be priced at $330 and is expected to be released towards the end of Q3 2016.
