The thing about Pokemon GO is that everyone is so competitive about leveling their character and catching all the Pokemon around them that sometimes it gets in the way of common sense. We have heard of people getting into all kinds of accidents, such as getting into car crashes because they were playing while driving.
We suppose to be fair, Niantic could not have anticipated how popular the game would be, but they are taking steps to address some of the issues. In the latest update to the game, the company has announced that they will be introducing several new features, one of which is driving warnings that basically reminds gamers not to play and drive.
“Added a dialog to remind Trainers that they should not play while traveling above a certain speed. Trainers must confirm they are not driving in order to continue playing.” They also made some improvements to the game like the accuracy of the curveball throw, fixed some bugs, achievements, and also made it possible for Trainers to change their nickname (one time change only!).
Niantic also announced that they will be testing out a new feature to help players locate nearby Pokemon. “We’re currently testing a variation of the ‘Nearby Pokémon’ feature with a subset of users. During this period you may see some variation in the nearby Pokémon UI.” The update should be like so go ahead and download it if you haven’t already.
