Nike has come out with a completely redesigned and revamped Nike+ application. It has even changed the name of this app. The new application comes with several features, enhancements as well as overall visual and stability improvements. It puts the spotlight on being able to track runs from Apple Watch which is interesting given that Apple is expected to launch a new Apple Watch in the near future.
The app is now called Nike+ Run Club and it comes with a new user interface. Users will find it quick and easy to access important information like run time, location, and distance. It also has many post-run sharing options to offer a connected fitness experience with friends and family.
Nike+ Run Club does feature integration with Apple Watch. It can currently track elevation, distance, heart rate, pace, and mile splits. However, given that the next Apple Watch is expected to feature a built-in GPS, the app will then also be able to track the location of the run by using the smartwatch’s GPS.
It also provides access to multiple personalised coaching plans which start with their goals in mind as well as their fitness level and adapts as they progress. Nike+ Run Club is live now and available as a free download from the App Store.
