Are you irritated by the sound that your Xbox One makes on startup? Then you are surely going to love the next update that Microsoft is putting the final touches on for this console. Microsoft’s Larry Hryb a.k.a Major Nelson has confirmed that the next Xbox One update will allow console owners to turn off the startup sound that the console makes when it’s fired up.
Apparently, this is one of the most requested features from the Xbox community, that they be allowed to decide whether or not they want to hear their Xbox One chime when they fire it up.
Microsoft continues to listen to the Xbox community and addresses their concerns, features that are requested often by the community eventually do make their way to the console, as evident by the company’s decision to enable Xbox One owners to turn off the startup chime.
Larry Hryb also shared some pictures on Twitter which reveal just how Microsoft is going to address this for the Xbox One. Console owners will be given the option to have it make a sound only when it’s turned off via a voice command or the power button. They will also now have the option to completely turn it off.
It has not yet been confirmed in which update this minor but often requested feature is going to be added to the Xbox One.
