We’re not sure if it is just us, but over the years with subsequent Resident Evil releases, it has felt like the game slowly moving away from what it used to be. Sure some of the releases have been fun, but admittedly they aren’t as scary as we remembered. This is something that Capcom has vowed to change when they announced Resident Evil 7.
The game was officially announced at E3 2016 earlier this year, but at Gamescom 2016 the company has since published a new trailer, which we have to say looks pretty damn scary. We would even go as far as to say that it gave us a bit of the vibe P.T. gave us when the game was first launched, although sad to say the game is no more.
According to Capcom’s description of the trailer, “Set within the sinister plantation house in Dulvey, Louisiana, the Baker family, including Jack and Marguerite, were residents but no-one has seen or heard from them in a while. Where could they be? One thing is clear in the latest content to be shown from the game – there’s something not quite right within the plantation. Who is the mysterious girl in the gameplay? What does Marguerite want with her?”
Resident Evil 7 has been set for a release on the 24th of January, 2017 and will be available on the Xbox One, PS4, PC, and will also be playable in VR if you’re after a more intense experience.
