When Mortal Kombat XL was officially announced earlier this year, it was revealed that it would be available on the PS4 and Xbox One, but there was no mention whether or not it would be arriving on the PC. However given that PC support for Mortal Kombat X was less than stellar, we suppose we did not really have high hopes.
However it looks like gamers who petitioned for a PC launch might have been successful. A recent tweet by NetherRealm’s Ed Boon seemed to hint at a PC release. His tweet reads, “Maybe we should Karry eXtra Long People who Care?” If we were to look at the upper-case letters, it pretty much spells out MKXLPC, or in other words, Mortal Kombat XL PC.
Is it a bit of a stretch? We suppose you could look at it that way, or maybe it really is a sign that the game will indeed arrive for the PC. As to when exactly this will take place is anyone’s guess, so maybe you shouldn’t hold your breath just yet. Hopefully if and when the game is launched for the PC, the issues plaguing Mortal Kombat X’s launch won’t be seeing a repeat of itself.
In any case we’ll be keeping an eye out for the game’s PC release, so check back with us at a later date for the details.
