Last year Logitech unveiled the CREATE keyboard case for the iPad Pro. Save for Apple’s own Smart Keyboard accessory, the CREATE keyboard was basically the first iPad Pro accessory in the market that took advantage of the new Smart Connector that was introduced with the iPad Pro.
Now as you are probably aware, Apple has since launched a 9.7-inch model of the iPad Pro, and if you are in the market for a keyboard case but don’t want to splurge on the official accessory, not to worry as Logitech has you covered with a new CREATE keyboard case with backlit keys which also connects via the Smart Connector.
Now from what we can tell, there are some slight changes in this version compared to the one released for the larger iPad Pro, one of which is the ability to stow your Apple Pencil. It seems that there will be a slot in which users can slip the Apple Pencil into for secure storage. This means that you get to keep your Apple Pencil on you at all times, as opposed to having to keep it separately in your pocket or bag where it could get lost.
Apart from that, the keyboard’s design appears to be the same as its predecessor, although admittedly slightly more squashed due to the smaller nature of the 9.7-inch iPad. The Logitech CREATE keyboard case will be available for purchase starting today from Logitech or Apple’s website where it will be priced at $129.99.
