Bandai Namco today announced that it’s going to release a new adventure title next year called Little Nightmares. The game puts players in the shoes of “Six,” a helpless little girl that’s on a mission to escape The Maw which is a big and mysterious vessel filled with corrupted souls “looking for their next juicy meal.” Little Nightmares has been developed by Tarsier Studio and is going to be released digitally in the Americas early next year.
Players of Little Nightmares have been promised a grim shadow-filled adventure in an interactive storyline with outstanding sound design and a unique art style which will deliver goosebumps and eerie chills.
Bandai Namco says that players will find this game blurs the lines between dreams and nightmares as they set out to explore The Maw in a bid to escape its confines. There are gruesome enemies and environments at every turn on this strange vessel and players have to guide Six out of The Maw through all of that.
Little Nightmares is going to be displayed for the first time in all its glory at Gamescom 2016. Attendees can check it out in the Gamescom Entertainment Area, Hall 8, booth B20. It’s going to be digitally released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam for PC in spring 2017.
