For example users won’t need Google+ to comment on YouTube videos or review apps on Google Play, and the app isn’t even preloaded on Android devices. That being said, it seems that Google is dealing another blow to Google+ by moving Hangouts on Air over to YouTube Live.
According to Google, this will come into effect on the 12th of September. “Hangouts On Air will move from Google+ to YouTube Live on September 12. If you want to schedule new Hangouts On Air you will need to use YouTube Live. Events cannot be scheduled on Google+ after September 12 and you will need to move existing events scheduled to happen after September 12 to YouTube Live.”
In terms of changes, it seems that it won’t be too huge of a change overall. Users will still be able to control the various levels of privacy on their broadcasts, and recorded events will also be uploaded to the associated YouTube channel. The only major change would be losing access to features such as Showcase, Applause, and Q&A.
