Kazunori Yamauchi, founder of Polyphony Digital, the studio that created Gran Turismo has announced via the official PlayStation blog that Gran Turismo Sport PS4 release has been delayed. The title was previously scheduled to be released later this year but Yamauchi says that the studio has made the difficult decision of delaying the game’s release to next year.
Yamauchi said that this game has been one of the most “ambitious undertakings” by the studio as it uses latest technologies like physics-based rendering and sound simulations. He adds that the studio has been humbled by the response received after the new gameplay experience was shared with the public.
Gran Turismo Sport PS4 release was initially planned for November, however, the studio has come to the realization that it needs more time to perfect GT Sport. Since it does not want to compromise the experience in any way, it has decided to delay the release.
Yamauchi adds that a confirmed release date can not be provided at this point in time but does reiterate that the studio is “more committed than ever” to making Gran Turismo Sport the best title in this franchise.
Even though the Gran Turismo Sport PS4 release has been delayed, the title will continue to be demonstrated at gaming events around the world.
