While companies like Apple and Xiaomi are certainly making some headway on the wearables scene, last we checked, Fitbit was still king. In fact if you prefer Fitbit’s offerings more so than others, you might be interested to learn that the company has a couple of new wearables that could might want to check out.
According to the folks at Techno Buffalo, they have managed to get their hands on what appears to be product images belonging to two Fitbit devices: the Fitbit Charge 2 and the Fitbit Flex 2. Now as you can tell, the Charge 2 (to the left) is more of a typical smartwatch-ish kind of design with a display, while the Flex 2 will be more of a fitness band that collects data and sends it to a phone.
In terms of specs and features, Techno Buffalo claims that the Charge 2 will sport a larger display than its predecessor. It will also include the new PurePulse heart rate tracking technology, and will also allow for interchangeable bands. As for the Flex 2 it will more or less function similar to its predecessor, but one of the main differences is that it is “swim proof”, meaning that you could take it in the water with you.
In terms of a launch date, we could be looking at the 27th of November, but no word on pricing just yet, although it would be safe to assume they won’t deviate too far from Fitbit’s current offerings.
