Your favorite rock star may have rocked a Fender guitar at one point in their career and you as a fan would be well aware of that fact. Fender is a name in the music equipment business that needs no introduction and now it’s making new offerings for digital devices. It’s creating apps for all guitar players, regardless of whether they are just starting out or happen to be a professional. The first such app is called Tune and it does what the name suggests.
There is absolutely no shortage of guitar tuning apps for iOS and Android but when Fender releases one, you have to check it out.
Fender’s Tune app is only available for iOS right now and it helps users tune their guitar or bass using their smartphone. It’s available as a free download and helps guitar players of all skill levels tune their gear without having to carry around separate equipment just for this purpose.
The company says that its tuner app is different as it helps beginners learn about the importance of tone and teaches them about basic strumming as well as about setting up an amplifier. The app offers both manual and automatic tuning tools.
Fender Tune is available as a free download from the App Store. It’s unclear at this point in time if and when this app will be made available for Android.
