There are countless Xbox 360 games that are backwards compatible on the Xbox one and now one rather popular game has been made backwards compatible for the current-generation console. Call of Duty: Black Ops was made backwards compatible in May this year and now Microsoft has added Call of Duty 2 to this list. Xbox One owners can now play this game on their console.

In the past few weeks, Microsoft has added titles like Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, Shank 2, and Bomberman Battlefest to the backwards compatibility list. The latest addition is likely going to appeal to many players who spent a lot of time playing Call of Duty 2 on the Xbox 360.

The fact that it has added Call of Duty 2 and also Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon goes to show that Microsoft is making efforts to bring major titles to Xbox One via backwards compatibility. These were some of the most well-received games for Xbox 360 and many Xbox One owners would like to have the chance to play them once again.

Xbox One owners can get their hands on Call of Duty 2 right now, they can purchase it from the Xbox Store for $19.99. If they are Xbox Live Gold members the list of free games for September also includes some great backwards compatible titles for Xbox One.
