Barnes & Noble has launched a new tablet today as part of its partnership with Samsung. There was a time when this company was making its own tablets but when that proved to no longer be feasible it decided to release co-branded tablets with Samsung. So basically, it’s a Samsung tablet with Barnes & Noble software. That’s precisely what its new offering is and it’s called the Samsung Galaxy Tab A Nook.
Samsung came out with the mid-range Galaxy Tab A earlier this year and it’s still available for purchase for anyone who wants it for what it is.
Customers who would like to have the Nook experience and all of the content that it brings should consider this particular variant. The specs are the same, it has the same 1.3GHz Exynos 3475 processor, 1.5GB RAM, 8GB storage, and 7 inch TFT display.
It comes with a variety of Nook features which include the digital store, newsstand, and Barnes & Noble Readouts which sends a selection of quicks to the device on a daily basis.
Interested customers can pick one up starting today from Barnes & Noble outlets across the nation for $139. Customers who already own a Barnes & Noble device can purchase the new tablet for $99 after showing proof of purchase for the existing device or by trading in their existing co-branded tablet for a new one.
