According to the report, Bloomberg claims that the deal with Cash Money Records will actually result in a documentary that would be funded and filmed for the label. The exact details of the documentary are unknown so we’re not sure what kind of content we can expect, but given that the label houses some pretty big names like Drake, Lil Wayne, and Nicki Minaj, just to name a few, launching a documentary with those artists involved would be culturally relevant, at least as far as today’s society is concerned.
This isn’t Apple’s first attempt at trying to secure more video content. Just last month Apple acquired talk show host James Corden’s “Carpool Karaoke” TV series. The company has also signed the likes of Gwyneth Paltrow, Gary Vaynerchuk and will.i.am as judges for its Planet of the Apps reality show, so it is obvious that Apple is interested in creating more video content for the future.
In any case take it with a grain of salt, but hopefully we will be able to find out the details about this alleged documentary soon.
