Are you in the market for a gaming smartwatch? Yea, we’re not really sure what that might entail, but according to a report from DigiTimes who cites the Economic Daily News, it would seem that Acer has a high-end gaming smartwatch in the works that they will unveil at IFA 2016, alongside a new fitness band.
Now like we said, we’re not sure what a gaming smartwatch would entail, especially gaming on a smartwatch isn’t exactly a very popular feature, and neither is it one of the main reasons why anyone would buy a smartwatch in the first place. However the company has in the past created gaming-specific products, like the Predator 8, so we guess a gaming-specific smartwatch isn’t really out of the question.
As for the fitness band, we can only assume that it will be the sequel to last year’s Liquid Leap+, but other than that not much else is known about the device. In any case take it with a grain of salt for now, but it certainly sounds like IFA 2016 is shaping up to be an event full of wearables, what with ASUS also reportedly planning to announce the ZenWatch 3.
IFA 2016 will be kicking off early September so remember to check back with us then for all the official details.
