As you can see in the image above, Samsung has scheduled an event for the 26th of August in China at 5pm. The invite clearly states that this is for the Galaxy Note 7, meaning that there’s a very good chance the 6GB RAM Galaxy Note 7 will make an appearance. However it remains to be seen if this 6GB RAM variant will be exclusive to China, or if it could find its way to other markets eventually.
According to Samsung when they confirmed the phone, they said that one of the reasons this model is launching in China is due to the pressure from the competition. Other Chinese OEMs have been pretty aggressive with their smartphones, like OnePlus with the OnePlus 3 that packs 6GB of RAM, so it looks like Samsung plans to respond in kind.
Other differences would also be its base storage that will be increased to 128GB versus the 64GB in the current models. In any case for more details, mark the 26th of August on your calendar and check back with us then for the official information.
