The other day we brought word that popular indie game Stardew Valley would be launching on both Mac and Linux computers on the 29th of July, and for gamers who forget, it looks like the game has already been released according to a post on the Stardew Valley website, so gamers can check it out if they want.
The game will be available through Valve’s Steam platform, so if you have Steam on your Mac or Linux computer, you should be able to find the compatible version of the game available for purchase, otherwise you’ll want to download Steam if you want to get your hands on it. Its developer has also stated that it will be arriving on GOG in a few days, so if Steam isn’t your thing, GOG will be the alternative.
Stardew Valley is also expected to find its way onto consoles like the PS4, Xbox One, and the Wii U later this year, Q4 2016 to be exact, so if you’re more of a console gamer you’ll still have to wait a little while longer. As for mobile, it seems that its creator does not have plans to make a mobile version of the game, which is admittedly a bit of a pity, but who knows, maybe one day we will be able to expect it. After all we’ve seen games like Minecraft find its way to mobile, so why not, right?
