Square Enix is not a company that you will associate with games for smartwatches but as they say, there’s a first time for everything. The company that’s best known for console and PC games has announced that it’s developing an exclusive game for the Apple Watch. Cosmos Rings is a roleplaying game that’s going to be released only for the Apple Watch initially.
Cosmos Rings is a spinoff from Square Enix’s Chaos Rings franchise and it uses the Apple Watch’s pedometer. Players are tasked with bringing back the Goddess of Time as they encounter “the many human emotions from the Interval of Time.”
The description of the game is a bit vague at this point in time so we’ll have to wait a bit till Square Enix shows us more about Cosmos Rings to really get an idea of what it’s going to look and feel like on the Apple Watch.
Square Enix has said that it’s going to provide more information about this title in the coming weeks. No confirmed release date has been provided as yet, it has only been said that Cosmos Rings will be available for the Apple Watch in summer 2016.
Seeing as how summer is already here, it shouldn’t take more than a couple of months for this Apple Watch exclusive to come out.
