It has been a while since Sony came out with a new smartphone and rumor has it that the company is going to unveil at least one new handset at the upcoming IFA 2016 trade show in Germany. Some even suggest that Sony could unveil a new range of smartphones at the tech conference which is going to take place in the first week of September. Rumor has it that the new handset is going to be a member of the Xperia Z series.
Two devices bearing Sony model numbers F8331 and F8332 are believed to be part of the continuation of the Xperia Z series which will be unveiled at IFA 2016. The company itself has confirmed or denied nothing about its smartphone plans for IFA.
These upcoming Sony handsets reportedly feature a 5.1 inch full 1080p HD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with 3GB RAM and 32G internal storage. They may also feature a 21 megapixel rear and 12 megapixel front camera while being powered by Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
Not a lot of information is available at this point in time about these handsets to unclear right now precisely what sets the two apart. We have nothing to go on from Sony to have a clear sense of what we can expect from the company’s new smartphones.
IFA 2016 is just a couple of months away now so we’ll find out for sure soon enough and there are bound to be more rumors and leaks in the meantime before the tech conferences kicks off in September this year.
