Resident Evil is a popular and one of the most enduring game franchises and it continues to thrive. The upcoming title in this franchise – Resident Evil 7: Biohazard – was introduced last month at the E3 2016 gaming convention. A demo was released for PlayStation 4 after the game’s announcement and it has turned out to be a popular one. The Resident Evil 7: Biohazard demo has broken download records on PlayStation 4.
Resident Evil 7: Biohazard was unveiled during Sony’s press conference at E3 2016. A teaser demo of the title was released after the game’s demonstration at the gaming convention.
Capcom confirmed today that Resident Evil 7 Teaser: Beginning Hour demo is now the most downloaded single-player demo on PlayStation 4 in only the first seven days of release in North America.
The demo showcases events leading up to the main game, it is currently only available for PlayStation Plus subscribers, even so, it has reached more than two million downloads worldwide since its release a couple of weeks ago.
Capcom thanks all of its fans for the feedback and support and says that the demo is just a taste of what fan scan expect from the game. Fans of the franchise will have to wait for a bit as Capcom finishes up the game, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard is scheduled for release on January 24th, 2017.
