If you’re wondering why Niantic Labs – the developer of Pokemon Go – hasn’t released a chat app for Pokemon Go yet you may have to wait a while before there’s an official answer from the company. However, you might want to check out the Pokemon Go chat app that Razer has come out with today, yes that Razer, the one that makes some amazing products. Razer’s new web and mobile app for Pokemon Go interfaces seamlessly with the popular game, has several chat modes, and support for team colors.
The app is called RazerGo. It has been independently made by Razer and it’s not affiliated with Nintendo, Niantic Labs or The Pokemon Company.
RazerGo will enable users to discover and chat with Pokemon trainers in a scalable radius. The local mode will include players that are within three miles of a user while the regional mode will include players within 60 miles. The app also has a global mode which includes all Pokemon Go players in all of the markets the game is currently available in.
Public, team and whisper are the three chat modes available to users. A new feature will be added to the app in the coming days which will enable players to drop beacons on the map which other players will be able to see and interact with.
The web version of this app has gone online and the iOS and Android versions will be released before July 25th.
