However with the potential for players to be too enthusiastic, the Australian police has issued a warning to gamers to be careful when they’re out and about. In a post on Facebook, the Darwin Police Station has given players a heads up to let them know that they don’t actually have to come inside the station to capture Pokemon.
We suppose this could prove to be potentially disruptive, not to mention dangerous too. “For those budding Pokemon Trainers out there using Pokemon Go – whilst the Darwin Police Station may feature as a Pokestop, please be advised that you don’t actually have to step inside in order to gain the pokeballs.”
They also warned gamers to remain safe and not to simply run across the road to capture Pokemon. “It’s also a good idea to look up, away from your phone and both ways before crossing the street. That Sandshrew isn’t going anywhere fast. Stay safe and catch ’em all!”
