These days launches aren’t as bad as they used to be, but sometimes games do run into hiccups, like the recently launched Pokemon GO. According to Business Insider, it seems that the CEO of Niantic John Hanke has confirmed to them that they are pausing the international rollout of the game due to server issues. It seems that they are waiting until they are comfortable before continuing the rollout.
This is confirmed by the Pokemon GO Twitter account which reads, “Thank you for your patience. We have been working to fix the server issues. We will continue rolling out #PokemonGO to new countries soon.” It is possible that the folks at Niantic did not expect Pokemon GO to be as huge as it is.
While the franchise is popular, many of us probably did not expect the game to be this big. In fact just recently stats had revealed that Pokemon GO could be catchin up to Twitter in terms of daily active users, which is saying a lot! In any case international players will just have to remain patient while this issue gets sorted out, which hopefully won’t take too long.
