Pokemon Go has become a global phenomenon very quickly, so much so that the developer has had to halt the international rollout as it ensures that servers don’t go offline as it scales up. Fans of the franchise are wondering when Pokemon Go is going to be released in Europe and Asia, there’s some good news for them, the game is going to be out in these regions within a few days.
This according to sources cited by The Wall Street Journal, who claim that Pokemon Go is going to be released in Europe and Asia “within a few days.” That’s all the report says about the availability of this game and no precise information about the rollout has been provided as yet.
Pokemon Go was first launched in Australia and New Zealand with the United States getting the game soon after. The full-scale global launch has still not happened owing to the spectacular demand that this augmented reality game has created so the developer needs some time to ensure that the global launch goes off without any problems.
If this report is correct this means that Pokemon fans can look forward to playing the game later this week. A word of caution to those who are thinking about sideloading the app because it hasn’t gone live in their region: malicious versions of Pokemon Go are floating online that have remote access tools embedded in them, downloading the app from an unofficial source could potentially expose users to hackers so it would be best to wait until Pokemon Go officially becomes available through the Google Play Store.
