The other day a rendering of the Nokia “Moonraker” smartwatch surfaced, giving us a look at what could have been for Nokia’s wearables plan. Now we’re sure the company has a ton of products that never quite made it to the finish line, and now thanks to a leaked photo, a bunch of unreleased Nokia devices has surfaced.
As you can see in the photo above, it seems that Nokia has been sticking to its colorful designs. While pretty much all the devices pictured are smartphones, there is one tablet in the mix which is said to be the Lumia 2020, a Windows RT tablet (back when Windows RT used to be a thing). The alleged specs include an 8.3-inch Full HD display and there is also support for a stylus.
Other devices pictured includes a white Lumia 650 XL, and there is also Nokia’s cancelled second Android handset, the Nokia XL 2, but other than that it is unclear as to what the other devices pictured are. There is no word on when Microsoft/Nokia might have cancelled the launch of these devices, for example the Lumia 2020 could have been cancelled due to the lack of demand for Windows RT devices, or maybe Microsoft would have preferred to focus on its Surface lineup.
Either way it’s always interesting to see what could have been, and if the rumors are to be believed, Nokia is expected to make their return in China with a couple of Android handsets, so we are curious as to how those devices might turn out.
