A couple of months ago, Hello Games announced that No Man’s Sky had been delayed to the 9th of August. The developer cited the need for extra polish as one of the reasons for the delay which we guess is a valid reason for the delay, but now it looks like the PC version of the game could be facing additional delay.
According to the “About” page on the No Man’s Sky website, it reads, “No Man’s Sky is a game about exploration and survival in an infinite procedurally generated galaxy, coming to PS4 on August 9th in North America and August 10th in Europe, and on PC worldwide on August 12th.” As you can see, the PC version has been delayed by 3 days versus the console version.
So far the folks at Hello Games have not officially announced/confirmed anything yet, but its listing on Steam also confirms the 12th of August release. In any case we suppose 3 days isn’t that long of a wait, but it would have been nice if the developer had given gamers a head’s up. It seems that gamers are already unhappy and have implied that this might be due to some kind of timed exclusive with Sony and the PS4.
