Not much is known about Nintendo’s next-generation console right now, only that the company is currently working on the NX. A new report suggests challenges the basic idea that many have about this console. Apparently, the Nintendo NX is going to be a 100 percent fully portable handheld console, so if this report is believed, it’s not entirely going to be similar to the likes of PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Eurogamer reports that the Nintendo NX is going to be a proper handheld gaming console and it will be marketed for its ability to enable you to “take your games with you.”
Some had previously predicted that there might be handheld components of the NX console but if this report is anything to go by, the NX is simply a handheld console with its own display and the ability to work with two detachable controllers.
At home, players will reportedly be abe to use the NX on the big screen by plugging it into a docking station. The NX is said to return to cartridges with the recommended cartridge size expected to be 32GB, which would mean that this console probably won’t be backwards compatible.
Precise details about its processing power, graphics performance and battery time are not available at this point in time but do expect more to hear about the Nintendo NX in the coming months.
