Night Mode Comes To Twitter On Android

A feature that has been in beta for quite a while is finally out today, at least for those who own an Android device. Twitter today introduced the night mode feature for its app. As the name suggests, the feature switches the app from its usual white interface to a dark one that’s better suited to firing off tweets in pitch black.

Night mode in Twitter for Android doesn’t just apply a layer of black over the interface, it actually switches it to a really dark blue, which looks really good. Night modes are one of the most requested features for apps that people tend to use while trying to doze off so this new feature in Twitter for Android will certainly be welcomed with open arms.

Switching on the night mode in Twitter for Android is very easy. There’s a new toggle in the app’s slide-out menu which enables users to turn night mode on or off with just one tap. For now, there’s no way for the feature to switch on automatically based on the time of day or the handset’s brightness.

Twitter hasn’t revealed when this feature will be making its way to the iOS app, so this is one of those rare instances when users on Android get a new feature before their counterparts on iOS do.
