The Halo Wars 2 real-time strategy game was detailed by Microsoft at its E3 2016 press conference. A multiplayer open beta went live that very same day while it was also confirmed when the game will be released to the public. Those who are waiting for it to arrive will be interested in watching the new Halo Wars 2 campaign trailer that 343 Industries has now released.
The first Halo Wars game was released back in 2007 and this is the sequel to that game. Players will be put in control of forces and they will be tasked with fighting real-time fast-paced strategy battles against each other.
The beta was originally launched for Xbox One players for eight days but due to demand from players, 343 Industries decided to keep it around for a couple of days more than initially planned. The full release of this game isn’t going to take place before next year.
343 Industries revealed this trailer during a Halo panel at RTX this weekend. The trailer shows some of the cutscenes from the Halo Wars 2 campaign.
Even though the game will be available for both PC and Xbox One, Halo Wars 2 won’t have support for cross-platform play at launch, but it will support Xbox Play Anywhere. Halo Wars 2 is scheduled to be released in February 2017 for PC and Xbox One.
