Tesla may be one of the most popular electric car manufacturers right now but it’s not the only company that’s working on electric cars. Legacy car manufacturers have started working on electric cars as well and Mercedes-Benz has been working on a Tesla rival as well. The German luxury brand is going to showcase a concept of its Tesla rival in September this year.
David McCarthy of Mercedes-Benz has said that the company is going to unveil a concept of its electric sedan in September this year, shortly before the Paris Motor Show.
That’s all he has said about the company’s electric sedan. No further information has been revealed as yet about the company’s first all-electric sedan concept but it’s expected to be in the same price bracket as the Model S – around $100,000 – and may offer a similar 300-mile range.
Previously teasers about this car have mentioned that it’s going to be “dangerously fast” so we can expect it to not be boring at least. This is going to be the first all-electric sedan concept from Mercedes-Benz, the company already offers multiple hybrid models so many will be interested in seeing how its first all-electric car stacks up against the likes of a Tesla Model S.
