If there was one unintended consequence of playing Pokemon GO, it would be that it forces gamers to get some exercise as it will involve them walking around trying to catch Pokemon. There have since been many stories of players complaining of sore legs due to the amount of walking that they have had to do.
However it seems that at least one player has managed to figure out how to be more efficient with his Pokemon catching, and that is by employing the use of a drone. In a post on Reddit, the user who goes by the name hyperion995 posted images of his setup, and followed up with the question as to whether or not using a drone to catch Pokemon was cheating.
We have to say that we guess it isn’t really cheating per se, although it is admittedly rather Team Rocket-ish of him to come up with such a devious plan. So how does it work? Basically he strapped his Android phone to a DJI Phantom drone, and then mirrored the screen to his laptop using an app called AirDroid.
From there the drone will be able to fly around looking for Pokemon while he lounges about in his chair, and when he needs to catch one, he’ll control his phone from his laptop. We have to say that it is pretty clever and if any of you guys have drones, perhaps this could be worth looking into.
