However the rumors this year suggests that Apple will be keeping the design around for one more year, and apparently this has not sat well with potential customers. In a survey conducted by Quartz (via PhoneArena), it seems that less than 10% of those surveyed have stated that they plan to upgrade to this year’s iPhone.
This includes those who fall into the category of “Extremely Likely” which is at 4.2%, and “Very Likely” which is at 5.1%. Users under the “Somewhat Likely” category are at 11.4%, while those who said “Not So Likely” and “Not At All Likely” are at 33.3% and 45.9% respectively. Assuming these numbers are accurate, this year could prove to be a very bad year for Apple.
That being said, what these users say in the survey and what happens later is a different story. Maybe the new iPhone could sport features that we did not know about that might be compelling, or maybe the rumors were completely wrong and that we will get a brand new design, either way we’ll have to wait and see. In the meantime any of you guys planning on upgrading to the iPhone 7 this year?
