If you’re in the market for a new laptop and tablet hybrid perhaps you might want to take a look at what Huawei is offering. The Chinese conglomerate unveiled the Huawei MateBook earlier this year and just last month it confirmed when this product will be sold in the United States. That day is today, the Huawei MateBook is now available for purchase in the U.S. Huawei claims that the MateBook is the lightest 12 inch tablet on the market.
The MateBook features a 12 inch 2,160 by 1,440 pixel resolution display and can be configured with Core M3, M5, and M7 processors coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 512GB of onboard SSD storage.
It has a premium look and feel as it has an aluminum unibody design and also happens to feature a fingerprint sensor that’s compatible with Windows Hello. It ships with Windows 10 Signature Edition in the U.S.
A couple of accessories are being offered for the MateBook as well, they include the $129 keyboard and $59 stylus. There’s also a $80 MateDock which adds two USB 3.0 ports, VGI and HDMI ports to the tablet.
The base Huawei MateBook model costs $699 and features a Core M3 processor with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. The price goes up as the specs go up. It’s now available for purchase through Microsoft, Amazon, and Newegg.
