As you might have heard, the rumors are saying that this year, HTC will be launching two Nexus handsets codenamed “Marlin” and “Sailfish”, both of which have had their specs leaked not too long ago. However in terms of design, we had no idea what they looked like, at least until now thanks to the folks at Android Police.
It seems that they have managed to cook up a render of the upcoming phones based on information that they were given about its design. While it cannot be 100% guaranteed that this what the phones will look like, Android Police has had a very good track record when it comes to rumors and leaks so maybe there is some truth to their claims.
That being said, as you can see from the design of the handset, it still feels very much like a HTC phone, but it is obvious that HTC has departed from the design that they have chosen for the HTC 10. Overall the design is rather sleek and yes, it looks like there will be a fingerprint sensor placed on the back of the phone.
We’re not sure why that part of the phone is glossy, but it has been speculated that it could be glass. In any case it’s best taken with a grain of salt, but if this is what the final design looks like, we would be pretty pleased with it, but what do you guys think?
