We’re not sure when Samsung is planning on launching the Gear S3 smartwatch, but in the meantime for Gear S2 owners, you might be interested to learn that there will be an update headed your way that will pack a ton of new features, changes, and also some improvements made to its UX.
This is according to a report from SamMobile who has heard information about said update. Note that Samsung hasn’t said anything yet so naturally you should take it with a grain of salt, but then again Samsung updating their products isn’t exactly a stretch of the imagination so if the report is true, it sounds like it could be something to look forward to.
According to their information, it seems that one of the biggest changes would be to the UX on the Gear S2. This includes the ability for users to use their own photos as the background for the watch. There will also be changes made to how things are shared, so instead of relying on your smartphone so much, the Gear S2 will soon let users post things directly from the watch itself.
The update is also expected to include a new sleep monitor feature, a menu for managing notifications, and more. The good news is that this rumored update should be coming in the next few weeks, so we guess owners of the Gear S2 won’t have to wait too long for it.
