A couple of days ago, the Fujifilm X-T2 was officially announced. Considering the success and positive feedback that Fujifilm has gotten for the X-T1, safe to say that many were looking forward to the X-T2 and what it could bring to the table, and according to many initial reviews of the camera, it seems that many photographers are pleased with the changes Fujifilm has made.
Now if you own the X-T1 and you’re looking to upgrade, or maybe if you’re just thinking about getting a new mirrorless camera, you will be pleased to learn that the X-T2 is now available for pre-order from a number of online retailers, which includes your usual suspects such as BH Photo, Amazon, and Adorama.
They are all priced the same which is at $1,600 for the body-only, or for those who would rather purchase the camera with a kit lens, they are selling it for $1,900 with the 18-55mm lens. This is in line with the price that Fujifilm had announced, so if you were hoping for any discounts or deals, you’d probably have to wait later.
In terms of availability, Fujifilm did state that they are looking at a September release. We’re not sure how popular the camera will be, but if you’d rather not have a rude surprise of finding out the camera is out of stock then, perhaps placing a pre-order now would be a good idea.
