Some retailer listings were spotted recently which gave rise to the possibility that a Darksiders remaster could be in the pipeline for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Wii U. This has now been officially confirmed by Nordic Games at Gamepolis 2016. The developer has confirmed that it’s working on a Darksiders remaster for the aforementioned consoles. The release is currently scheduled for the fourth quarter of this year.
The Darksiders remaster for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Wii U is going to be released in Q4 2016 in physical and digital formats for €19.90. Nordic Games is likely to offer Darksiders merchandise at launch, including but not limited to soundtracks of the game on vinyl, a figure of War, and other goodies.
Retailer Newegg has already listed the Darksiders remaster release for the consoles with a release date of October 25th, it prices the game at $19.99. The release date is in line with the estimate provided by Nordic Games.
The developer hasn’t provided a lot of details about this remastered game so it’s unclear at this point in time just what is the scale of improvements it will be making to Darksiders before bringing it to the PS4, Xbox One, and Wii U. It’s going to reveal that information in the weeks leading up to the release.
