Select CVS locations are now accepting Apple Pay as a mobile payment method, reports suggest that the tests have been ongoing since about a month even though there’s no news on what CVS is making of all this.
The pharmacy chain clarified through Twitter that it’s only testing Apple Pay at this point in time, this doesn’t mean the service is necessarily going to be added as a payment option. The company points out that it’s currently not officially accepting any NFC-based mobile payment service like Apple Pay.
CVS says that it’s currently in the process of evaluating mobile payment options for its customers so who knows how long it’s going to take before the company devices which mobile payments service to go with.
