During a recent interview with Sebastian Moritz, the Battlefield community manager in Germany, he revealed on Twitch that the beta for Battlefield 1 will begin “shortly after” Gamescom. For those wondering when that is, Gamescom takes place between the 17-21 of August, meaning that we are looking at either a late August beta, or some time in September, but hopefully not later than that.
Moritz also revealed that Battlefield insiders will be getting early access to the beta before everyone else. Three days early, to be exact, so if you’re not a Battlefield insider then maybe you should consider signing up for it. It sounds like this is also a public/open beta, meaning that anyone can participate in it if they want and that you won’t need to have pre-purchased the game in order to do so.
We’re not even sure of what the specs are for Battlefield 1 so it’s hard to tell that even if you get in, whether your PC can handle it is a different story. In any case we’ll keep our eyes peeled for more info regarding the beta, so check back with us later for the details.
