This is versus other OEMs like Samsung and LG where you have to buy the headset separately which would undoubtedly cost you much more. The good news is that if you were wondering when the handset would be coming to the US, you won’t have to wait much longer as it has been confirmed that the handset will be available for pre-order in the US starting 15th July.
The phone will be priced at $350 during pre-orders and will go for $400 at retail, so if you want to save yourself $50 pre-ordering it does seem like the way to go. In terms of specs, the Idol 4S is definitely not the most powerful phone we’ve seen, but that’s the only disadvantage to the phone as the rest of the specs are pretty decent.
It will pack a Snapdragon 652 chipset and will also come with 3GB of RAM, a 5.5-inch QHD display, and a fingerprint sensor on the back. The handset will also come bundled with dual JBL-certified speakers, a 16MP rear-facing camera with 360-degree image capture, and a dual SIM card slot. It ships with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and is expected to be updated to Android 7.0 Nougat at a later date.
